Samuel L. Jackson Raises Another ‘Glass’ To A Memorable ‘Unbreakable’ Trilogy

When it was released in 2000, Unbreakable was considered a disappointment to many, although comic book enthusiasts immediately gravitated to its subject matter. The years have seen Unbreakable’s stature immeasurably grow in moviegoers’ eyes, and in the recent Glass premiere Samuel L. Jackson talked about the inevitability of a continuation of the Mr. Glass (Jackson) and David Dunn (Bruce Willis) story.

Even with the growing love for Unbreakable, it was the box office and critical success of Split, which featured James McAvoy delivering one of his best performances as The Horde, which led to the inevitable release of Glass. “My social media feed is constantly blowing up with people wanting to know, ‘are you doing another movie’ (or) ‘when can we expect another movie,'” said Jackson. “So it’s been been blowing up and blowing up for the last 18 years. So it was time.”

Glass opens nationwide January 18.
