As I slowly step back into the video gaming world this year, one of the titles I’m pumped for is Narcos: Rise of the Cartels, a turn based action strategy game that’s slated for a 2019 third-quarter release (on PC and consoles). Further details below!

Curve Digital, in collaboration with developer Kuju and Gaumont, will release the game, which is based on the first season of Narcos. Players can traverse the light or dark side in this tactical adventure, as they can become part of the Medellin Cartel or the DEA (the character of El Patron, aka Pablo Escobar, is the game’s narrator).
“Narcos: Rise of the Cartels is a hugely exciting prospect for us,” said Rosemary Buahin, Curve Digital’s Marketing Director. “We love the show and have ensured that our game stays true to the source material, from the locations, to the characters, the clothes, the iconic music and more. We think that the action-packed, turn-based strategy gameplay lends itself perfectly to the world of Narcos.”
The teaser trailer doesn’t show much (hence the word “teaser”), but we’re treated to several shots of the landscapes which make up the game. It’s very early in the game, so we’ll see what other goodies drop from the Narcos world in the coming months. Check out the teaser and feel free to share your thoughts/opinions!
