CLAYNE CRAWFORD in “The Killing of Two Lovers” (NEON)

The Killing of Two Lovers centers on David (Clayne Crawford), a loving father who is torn apart after a trial separation from his wife Nikki (Sepideh Moafi). Filled with rage over Nikki’s new relationship, David attempts to temper his inner turmoil for the sake of his children.

Writer/director Robert Machoian brings a ton of stylistic tools (including a 4:3 aspect ratio) that actually enhances the narrative. Instead of calling attention to the director, this distinct POV delivers a locked in approach to the story. During his interview with Deepest Dream, Crawford talked about the “crucial” aspect behind making The Killing of Two Lovers.

All three of us gave high marks to the feature. Check out our review of The Killing of Two Lovers below on YouTube and via Spotify (we review the movie at the top of the program).
