If you’re a fan of Bone Tomahawk and Brawl in Cell Block 99, chances are you’re going to dig director/writer S. Craig Zahler’s Dragged Across Concrete. All three films are deliciously high caloric, cinematic meals, but thankfully Dragged Across Concrete stands on its own. Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn are the film’s biggest draws, but there’s much more behind the curtain.

Years ago I frequented that was right next to my Downtown Los Angeles apartment. Abby’s has more of an outdoor, San Diego type vibe, but the sentiment is the same. In our video, Abby’s cast members Neil Flynn and Natalie Morales reflect on their own bar experiences.

Most of my gaming time these days, as a late forties nanny to my niece, revolves around pick up and play titles. The recently released PlayStation 4 co-op adventure/puzzler Pode has made me rethink my weekly schedule in the best of ways. Visually immerse, the humanistic scope of Pode sucked me in, and many more hours will be spent living in its universe.

Being part Filipino, I’m going to have a natural bias for movies that deal with my heritage. Although the DVD cover art for 100 Yards accurately shows a quarterback (Steven Brewis) facing the bright lights, did you know this faith based film is set in the Philippines. It’s an interesting film, and spend a few minutes to see why 100 Yards may be worth checking out.
