Scott Wolf Talks ‘The Night Shift’ Chemistry With Eoin Macken & Robert Bailey Jr.

The oft-used phrase “you either have it or you don’t” can be applied to that elusive word called “chemistry,” and “The Night Shift” stars have been lucky enough to land on the right side of that equation. While promoting the show during the NBC/Universal Summer Press Tour, Scott Wolf, who was part of a talented ensemble early in his career with “Party of Five,” succinctly (and humorously) explained why “The Night Shift” is clicking on all cylinders.

“It’s got that thing you can’t manufacture,” said Wolf. “There’s like a chemical thing that happens between all these actors and it’s not just that they have a good time off camera but it carries onto the relationships on camera. And whether an audience knows exactly why they are kind of engaged or drawn into a show – oftentimes it has so much to do with everybody being on the same page like this cast is.”

Check out the video below as Wolf, aided by playful back and forth banter from fellow cast members Eoin Macken and Robert Bailey Jr., talks about the unique chemistry behind “The Night Shift.”

Season three of The Night Shift premieres June 1 on NBC (10/9c).
