If you’re a comic book and Norse mythology fan (my limited knowledge goes as “deep” as Marvel Comics’ Valkyrie and Thor), then the RPG action-adventure title Fimbul may be your perfect escape. The game arrives in digital and physical versions February 28 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One (digital version only) via Wild River and Zaxis Games.

Fimbulwinter, the prelude to the world destruction event known as Ragnarök, has started and wizened berserker Kyeldulver is the only warrior who can stop the apocalypse. Initially killed by bandits who raised his villauge, Kyelduver is resurrected by the Norns (the goddesses of fate and destiny) to kill the Jotun giants and any enemy that’s contributing to oblivion.

The most intriguing aspect of the game, along with the title’s comic book style aesthetic, lies in the ability to go back to important moments of his journey and explore different resolutions thanks to the Norns.

I’ll be requesting a review copy of this title and plan to review come February. Check out the trailer below and tell us what you think!
