I have no idea what the story title means (just thought it was catchy), but one game I’m excited to play is the Coffee Crisis, a beat ‘em up brawler with an interesting premise.
One has to give props to a game that, in its press release, directly says it was “inspired by the beloved Mega Man series.” Bottom line is transparency is a good thing, and hopefully that homage leads to a deep adventure with the “roguelike action platformer” 20XX which hits XBox One July 11. Chasing Carrots released their arcade style game Pressure on PC over four years ago, and now the Stuttgart based studio has come back with its higher octane and overhauled sequel Pressure Overdrive. Details on the driving/shoot’em up title is below!
Any adventure that cites surreal artists Max Ernst and Salvador Dali while attempting to literally find a new beat with gamers is worth a try, and I’m definitely excited to see if Beat The Game delivers on its promise.

Having worked nearly twenty years in the radio field, I thoroughly appreciate Capy Games’ immersive use of sound in the trailer for its upcoming game Below. The clip, which premiered at the IGF Awards, is also a sight to behold as we follow an adventurer’s journey through what looks to be the cavernous insides of a mountain.
