Three Wishes for Cinderella, a modern take on one of the world’s most iconic fairy tales, hits DVD, Blu-ray + DVD combo pack, On Demand and Digital on October 18. Project Wolf Hunting, directed by Kim Hongsun, is the bloodiest film I have seen in my 51 years of existence. That may be a bad thing for many, but thus it’sone of my top films of 2022. The feature’s no holds barred approach to action and storytelling is impressive, and I was excited to ask Hongsun about the method to his madness behind Project Wolf Hunting!

Jaime Ray Newman stars in MK Ultra, a psychological thriller that is based on the infamous CIA drug experiments from the early 1960s. Anson Mount is a well intentioned psychiatrist who spearheads an arm of this illegal program and Newman plays his wife Rose. Newman talked to Deepest Dream about working with Mount, why MK Ultra’s story resonates in modern times, and being honored with an Oscar for Skin (best Documentary Short).
Michael Pare (Streets of Fire,The Lincoln Lawyer) and director Dale Fabrigar (100 Yards) previously worked together on 2020’s Middleton Christmas. This time out they collaborate on the horror-thriller They Crawl Beneath. Armed with an indie budget, Fabrigar crafts a story that goes “beneath” the surface of a creature feature. Although I am part of Generation X, Hellraiser escaped me. Maybe Pinhead’s visage was too scary for me as a teen. That said, the new Hellraiser, directed by David Bruckner (The Night House) was part of the Huluween press day and I obliged. This version absolutely worked for me, and I shared that sentiment with actor Adam Faison to start the interview.

Ginger Minj plays Drag Winifred on Hocus Pocus 2, so of course there is a bias for her movie love. That said, I am excited to watch Hocus Pocus 2 this weekend, and while promoting Huluween Dragstravaganza Minj talked shared their reaction to the flick.

Mojean Aria and Antonio Banderas in The Enforcer (Screen Media Films)
Throw in Antonio Banderas into a B-level movie (Bullet Head,Black Butterfly, Security) and it’s an automatic upscale for me. I love my fair share of these genre driven material, and the good news is The Enforcer delivers the goods. Co-star Mojean Aria leaves an indelible mark on this narrative as well, and this tight as a drum thriller should be on your radar.
