Damien Chazelle (La La Land, First Man) is back behind the camera with his highly anticipated Hollywood epic Babylon. A new trailer has just been released for this 1920s set feature headlined by Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt. Check it out!!
Written and penned by Damien Chazelle, the Los Angeles set feature focuses on the “rise and fall of multiple characters during an era of unbridled decadence and depravity in early Hollywood.”
It will be interesing to see if Babylon will have the same emotional resonance to 2016’s La La Land, but the good news is the feature should be a visually rich experience. The trailer moves at a brisk pace to David Bowie’s iconic track “Fame,” and the final moment, which has Brad Pitt floating on the pool, reminded me of the opening moments of Harold and Maude (with a young Bud Cort, and not Pitt, in the pool).
