On this week’s CinemAddicts, we review Operation Taco Gary’s and Undercard two films that debuted in theaters today. Operation Taco Gary’s is an off the wall, unpredictable comedy starring Simon Rex, Dustin Milligan, Brenda Song, and Jason Biggs. Undercard centers on a legendary boxer turned trainer (Wanda Sykes) who attempts to reconcile with her estranged son (Bentley Green). Santa Zeta, although not playing in theaters, is a new film that you can stream on slamdancechannel.com through March 4th and it comes highly recommended from CinemAddicts co-host Eric Holmes.

Cheryl “No Mercy” Stewart (Wanda Sykes) is a boxing legend who is also a gifted trainer. Unfortunately, “No Mercy” is also an alcoholic, and that addiction has understandably caused a rift with her son Keith (Bentley Green). Keith is also a talented pugilist in need of season, and “No Mercy” believes that training Keith might repair their broken bond. Xavier Mills co-stars as Kordell, another boxer who trains with “No Mercy” and is itching for a title shot.
Eric Holmes and I rendered a split decision (pardon the pun) on Undercard. I recommend the feature mainly thanks to Sykes’ inspired performance, and Eric was not on board with the movie. Check out our review on CinemAddicts:
Check out my interview with Undercard actor Xavier Mills:

Operation Taco Gary’s is a memorable comedy about Luke (Dustin Milligan) and Danny (Simon Rex), brothers who go on an epic adventure that may have apocalyptic reprecussions! Jason Biggs plays an evil version of himself in the picture, and Brenda Song, Arturo Castro and Tony Cavalero also standout in their respective roles. Doug Jones (The Shape of Water) plays an alien who tries to make the siblings an offer they can’t refuse.
At the time of the recording, Eric hadn’t seen Operation Taco Gary’s due to issues with getting his screener to work. Today, however, Eric interviewed director/writer Mikey K and was very complimentary of the movie. So I assumed he dug it as much as I did.
