Danish rockers Mew put out a message on their Facebook page to invite fans to appear in their music video “Witness,” which was shot last month at the Republique Theatre in Copenhagen. The video debuted today.

The adrenaline fueled video has fans dancing around the band, and their energy gives the already catchy song a bit more bounce. “It was great working with the fans – so much love, affection and energy,” said director Theis Molin, who also directed the group’s DVD Mew: Live in Copenhagen. “We did 13 takes, and the intensity grew with every one. At the end, the fans had been doing the equivalent of about two weeks worth of working out. This shoot is one to remember.”
“Witness” is from Mew’s new album “+-” (aka Plus Minus), and the band embark on their first North American headline tour in six years starting September 17 in San Diego, Ca.
