Filmmaker Jaume Collet-Serra (“Unknown,” “Orphan”) delivers another first rate thriller with “Carry-On.” Boasting solid work from Taron Egerton and Jason Bateman, the feature also features standout supporting work from Danielle Deadwyler. Check out my spoiler free review below!
Taron Egerton is Ethan, a Los Angeles TSA agent whose pregnant girlfriend Nora (Sofia Carson) also works at LAX. Nora has a high ranking job at the facility while Ethan is not too passionate about his job. He wanted to be a cop, and on this fateful day he gets the chance to be a hero.’
A stranger simply named as Traveler (Jason Bateman) threatens Ethan to let a carry-on luggage pass through security. Initially hidden from view, Traveler and his tech savvy partner (Theo Rossi) have a direct line to Nora. If Ethan does not let the item through, Nora dies.
Danielle Deadwyler co-stars as Elena Cole, a detective who becomes aware of a possible terrorist plot, and she enlists a Department of Homeland Secrity agent (Logan Marshall-Green) to aid her investigation.
Clocking in at 119 minutes, “Carry-On” is a fast paced, ticking time bomb action flick. Check out my full review below!
