Gerard Butler’s last cinematic foray into Scotland was 2004’s beautifully rendered tale Dear Frankie, and now he’s back playing a much darker tune with The Vanishing. Though possessing moniker that begs for supernatural occurrences, this film carves a much different, yet ultimately satisfying, path.
Widows, the heist thriller which stars Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, Elizabeth Debicki and Cynthia Erivo, hits Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, and DVD February 5.

The 1997 feature Bent, featuring Clive Owen, Mick Jagger, and Ian McKellen, hits Blu-ray and DVD on January 8. The feature, which is based on Martin Sherman’s award winning play, has been digitally restored.

The Guiltywas one of this year’s top films, and it’s Denmark’s official entry at this year’s Oscars. As I predicted on CinemAddicts, the film is going to be remade into an American film (much sooner than I imagined).
