Taking on Ten Years After’s seminal, guitar driven hit “I’d Love To Change The World” takes stones, especially if you’re a novice singer/songwriter. Piper Hays, who releases her debut album Vagablonde on March 8, did just that in her new music video.
This week’s Blu-ray giveaways from CinemAddicts will have two winners. First one gets my copy of The Hate U Give, and second winner gets Boy Erased. Entry details will be shorter, yet slightly different this time around, as I’m trying to get more subscribers to a couple of YouTube channels (mine and CinemAddicts!!).
Whitesnake’s 1984 album Slide It In was the band’s first platinum-selling album, and to date it’s sold over six million copies worldwide. In celebration of its 35th anniversary Rhino and Parlophone are coming out with the seven-dsic boxed set Slide It In: The Ultimate Special Edition on March 8.

Sam Elliott is getting a ton of coverage thanks to his Oscar nominated performance in A Star Is Born. That’s perfect timing for the February release of his next film The Man Who Killed Hitler And Then The Bigfoot. Check out the trailer below, and though I’ll be posting a full review later, I’ll give a couple of thoughts on the feature as well!!

The music video of “Mega Pawn King,” a track from the Gin Blossoms’ critically acclaimed album Mixed Reality has been released. If you’ve ever wondered if a one guy, his guitar, and a GoPro could make for a solid vid, take a look!
Out on DVD and digital today via Film Movement, the Zambia set I Am Not A Witch marks the directorial debut of Rungano Nyoni, a filmmaker who should be an intriguing voice in cinema for years to come. An uncompromising mixture of satire and drama, I Am Not A Witch is a film that’s definitely worth checking out.
Erana James and Benji Purchase in "The Changeover" (Vertical Entertainment)
Here’s the interesting thing about The Changeover, a New Zealand set thriller which, at the time of posting, has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The lead actress, Erana James, is an up and comer whose career should gain more momentum with its February 22nd release in theaters and On Demand. It was released back in New Zealand 2017, and it also co-stars Thomasin McKenzie (from last year’s critically acclaimed Leave No Trace).
This week via our latest CinemAddicts giveaway I’m offering up my Blu-ray copies of First Manand Mile 22. First person gets First Man and second movie buff lands Mile 22!
I’ve tried different iterations in the past, but I’ll be using the name “Flick City” from here on out. Basically, I’ll be posting audio and video of filmmakers/actors/human beings discussing and recommending their all time favorite movies. First up is Mia Goth, who was seen last year in Suspiria and will be featured in the upcoming sci-fi feature High Life.
If you’re a comic book and Norse mythology fan (my limited knowledge goes as “deep” as Marvel Comics’ Valkyrie and Thor), then the RPG action-adventure title Fimbul may be your perfect escape. The game arrives in digital and physical versions February 28 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One (digital version only) via Wild River and Zaxis Games.
