It’s season 28 of The Voice, and Aiden Ross kicked it off on episode one with a memorable rendition of Adele’s “Love in the Dark.” Ross made it through the Blinds with a four-chair turn and he chose Niall Horan as his coach. Currently studying engineering at Texas A&M, Ross talked to Deepest Dream about his journey on The Voice.

Getting on The Voice is not an easy feat, as there is a ton of steps to take before even making it on stage. That said, Aiden Ross’ advice for people interested in The Voice is to simply do it. “Freshman year of college, (I) applied to The Voice on a leap of faith,” said Ross. “I got a call back (and) found myself in L.A. for the Blind Auditions, and here we are. It was just the greatest decision in my entire life. So really just do it – just send an audition (and) see what happens.”
While the coaches are a big part of their artistic expansion, befriending fellow colleagues is just as important. “One thing that has helped me so much with this show is just being around all the other contestants,” said Ross. “I think that’s grown me so much as a singer – being around so much talent. I was pleasantly surprised to see just how high caliber the people on the show are.”
