After Syd Millevoi’s standout rendition of Jessie J’s “Mamma Knows Best” on The Voice: Battle of Champions, Adam Levine joked to Millevoi, “did you just win The Voice?” The Secaucus, NJ native is one of this season’s favorites, and she talked to Deepest Dream about that performance and elaborates on her laser focused music career.

“My whole entire vibe for going into the Blind Auditions was ‘Go big or go home’ and if I don’t go big, I might as well go home,” said Syd Millevoi. “My mom (was) there (and) she starated my entire journey of being a singer. So I was like, you know what – you only live once. Let’s do it big.”

Along with being a standout singer, Millevoi is a dedicated songwriter. “The whole reason I started songwriting in the first place was to create community and to help people during rough times,” said Millevoi. “Because I know, for me, whenever something would be happening in my life, the first thing I would do was turn on a playlist.”
