The narrative centers on Sue Ann (Octavia Spencer), a lonely woman living in an Ohio town who befriends a teenager named Maggie (Booksmart’s Diana Silvers) and her crew.

Sue Ann lets the teens party at her basement as long as they follow several simple rules: Remain sober, don’t curse, and never go upstairs. Of course, rules are made to be broken, and the woman the youths call “Ma” is not exactly what she appears to be. Luke Evans and Juliette Lewis round out the ensemble.

The movie marks a reunion between Tate Taylor and Spencer, as they collaborated on the acclaimed film The Help. Special features on the Blu-ray, DVD and Digital versions include:

  1. New Alternative Ending
  2. The featurettes “Creating Sue Ann” and “Party at Ma’s”
  3. Deleted Scenes
  4. Theatrical Trailer
