Longtime friends Sofia Coppola and fashion icon Marc Jacobs made a movie together, and it’s a combo that should draw its share of devotees. The A24 documentary Marc by Sofia hits NY March 20 and expands nationwide March 27. The 97-minute project, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival, is Coppola’s first doc. Coppola, whose last feature was 2023’s Priscilla, is a top tier filmmaker and Jacobs, along with being at the top of his game, is definitely a colorful personality. At the very least, it should be an engaging look at the American fashion designer.
