Rome: Total War, developed by Creative Assembly and published by SEGA for Windows PC, is now headed to iPad via Feral Interactive this fall. The strategy title will enable iOS gamers to embark on hours of gameplay that was previously reserved for desktop players (Feral Interactive also published the Mac version).
With campaigns in Europe and North Africa, the title enables gamers to blend their battle skills with diplomatic acumen while playing as one of 11 factions. The iPad’s touch, tap, and slide mechanic will attempt to replicate the game’s previous mouse and keyboard dynamic, and tablet users will also be treated to upgraded graphics thanks to iPad’s high resolution Retina screen.
“Rome: Total War is still one of our most critically acclaimed Total War titles to date and a firm fan favorite,” said Rob Bartholomew, Total War Brand Director at Creative Assembly. “We are thrilled to work closely with Feral on the iPad release and excited that players will get to experience Rome: Total War on a whole new platform for the first time.”
