Ready for a knockout release this month? Rocky I-IV 4K 4-Film Collection comes out February 28 via an Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack. The movies are newly remastered. I have not checked out Rocky IV: Rocky vs. Drago (included in the set), and I am looking forward to this release.

A bonus Blu-ray disc will include the documentary on the making of Rocky IV: Rocky vs. Drago, and pre-existing special features are also included in the collection. The Rocky I-IV, 4K 4-Film Collection includes Rocky, Rocky II, Rocky III, Rocky IV, and the Rocky IV Ultimate Director’s Cut, Rocky vs. Drago.

Rocky was nominated for 10 Oscars and won for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Film Editing. The Library of Congress selected Rocky for preservation in the United States National Film Registry for being a film that is “culturall, historically, or aesthetically significant.”

I grew up during the Rocky era, and saw Rocky III and Rocky IV in theaters. It packed a punch then, and it will be a treat to rewatch all of these installments when they are available in 4K resolution with HDR (high dynamic range).
