Houston (Publishing Demos 2002), a 12-song collection of previously unreleased demos from Mark Lanegan comes out August 21 via Ipecac Recordings. When these songs were crafted, Lanegan’s former band The Screaming Trees had recently disbanded and Lanegan was embarking on a solo career.
Lanegan, whose last recording was the 2014 release Phantom Radio, has also been a member of Queens of the Stone Age, collaborated with singer Isobel Campbell on several albums, and also paired with Greg Dulli to form The Gutter Twins (their 2008 album
Art for Houston (Publishing Demos 2002) was crafted by The Mekons’ Jon Langford with Justice Records founder Randall Jamail serving as the album’s producer.
