One of the intriguing aspects of Sicario is experiencing a rather green FBI agent (Emily Blunt) realize the “land of wolves” that dominate the drug wars. With Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Isabela Reyes (Isabela Moner) gets a similar education. Audio of Moner discussing the film is below . . .
The official trailer to Sicario: Day of the Soldado suggests that Alejandro (Benicio Del Toro) takes a protective role over Isabela (Isabela Moner), even though this good deed will not go unpunished.
“She’s been in such a sheltered environment her whole entire life,” said Moner, whose previous credits include Transformers: The Last Knight and the TV series 100 Things To Do Before High School. “And now she’s being introduced to war and betrayal and no trust. She has always been in this artificial world so it should really hit her like a truck. That was super cool for me to be able to try and work that through and figure out what to do with the character and how she is going to deal with it all.”
Click on the audio below to hear Moner give some valid reasons on why seeing Sicario: Day of the Soldado on the big screen will be a “captivating” experience:
Isabela Moner reunites with Transformers: The Last Knight co-star Mark Wahlberg in Instant Family and will play the titular character in Dora the Explorer.
Sicario: Day of the Soldado opens June 29.
