The Band Perry have released a new video for their Grammy nominated version of “Gentle On My Mind,” the group’s current single which is featured on the soundtrack for the documentary Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me.
Along with The Band Perry members (Kimberly, Reid and Neil Perry), the video features Alexander Ludwig (TV’s Vikings, Lone Survivor, and When The Game Stands Tall) as a young man who’s craving for a little time outdoors, even if it means leaving his girl (Shelley Hennig from TV’s Teen Wolf and the flick Ouija) behind.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Though the pair have a few seconds of time together, Hennig and Ludwig have a palpable chemistry, and it’s quite understandable why our wandering protagonist realizes that running back to the one he loves sure beats the open road and sky.
Owen Thomas, the creative director for The Band Perry, helmed the video, which features the band performing at Union Station in Indianapolis, IN. Whether it’s hiking up a trail, washing his face beside a thriving stream, or climbing an impressive peak, Ludwig proves that he and Mother Nature are welcome bedfellows (his scenes were shot in Death Valley, Ca).
The Band Perry received a Grammy nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “Gentle On My Mind,” and they also are nominated in the “Favorite Country Group” category for the People’s Choice Awards (it airs on CBS come January 7, 2015).
Along with their December 31 performance on Pitbull’s New Year’s Revolution (airing on Fox), the group will be hard at work on their third studio album next year. For more info on the band, please go to www.thebandperry.com.
