Though she grew up in the small town of Crandall, Georgia (pop. 300), no moment on The Voice has been too big for Ellie Lawrence. Her compelling rendition of Jermaine Stewart’s “We Don’t Have To Take Our Clothes Off” received a three chair turn (Blake Shelton, what were you thinking???), and her subtle self confidence and unique flair makes her a perfect member for Team Gwen.
When last we left Quantico, Alex Parrish had managed to evade capture with the help of Simon Asher, but her sketchy former colleague was getting instructions from the Deputy Director to maintain his cover. If you’re an R.L. Stine enthusiast or just a fan of spooky (and highly entertaining) family films, then Goosebumps should do the trick. Lead actor Dylan Minnette, who plays a teenager who unwittingly unleashes R.L. Stine’s (Jack Black) fictional monsters onto an unsuspecting town, may have a ton of momentum with his acting career, but he’s also “passionate” about nurturing a music career.
The new sitcom Truth Be Told centers on best friends Mitch (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) and Russell (Tone Bell) and their respective wives Tracy (Vanessa Lachey) and Angie (Bresha Webb). The couples are next door neighbors who don’t hold back when it comes to discussing and debating over various subjects. Politics, race, sex, and relationships are all fair game for this foursome, as series creator DJ Nash wants to push the comedic envelope with the freshman show.
The bar has been set by Night 1 of The Voice Battle Rounds, with several of the coaches’ steals already being dished out, making the decisions that much harder for the remaining contestants. Undateable’s third season begins tonight (NBC, 8 pm et) and though many shows would attempt to coast on their popularity or continue a tried and true formula, the show is headed off in a more creatively daring direction. Each show is live, and though one would assume all of the actors are ready for the challenge, mistakes are bound to happen.
