Whether it’s Insidious or Little Children, Patrick Wilson definitely has the acting and singing (Phantom of the Opera) chops. Zipper features him as Sam Ellis, a charismatic politician who’s on the rise. But as the moniker suggests, keeping one’s desires snuggled in a pair of slacks is Ellis’ weakness.
Lea Michele’s successful collaboration with Glee producer continues with Scream Queens, but instead of belting out songs like there’s no tomorrow, she’s raising her voice out of fear!
Life after Mad Men for Kiernan Shipka apparently takes place in a seemingly remote countryside, surrounded by a domineering father and a healthy dose of family tragedy. At least that’s what the intriguing trailer to One & Two suggests.
Meghan Linsey could have stayed in the country lane, but her successful journey on The Voice proved that her creative passions can’t be placed in one little box. Her EP Believer, debuting Friday, July 31, is a testament to that aesthetic.
One of this year’s finest films, Mad Max: Fury Road, hits Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, and DVD September 1 via Warner Bros Home Entertainment.
Director Alejandro G. Iñárritu and cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki won Oscars last year for their towering achievement Birdman: Or (The Unexpected Virtue Of Ignorance) and, for my money, there’s no better 1-2 punch behind the camera. The trailer to their latest film The Revenant, was recently released.
It’ll be hard for Cold War Kids to top their insanely catchy, kick-ass song “First” (at least in my book), but thankfully this isn’t an outfit known for regurgitating similar sounds. Case in point is the release of their intentionally quick-trigger, frenetic track “One Song At A Time,” which is available on the band’s just released EP Five Quick Cuts.
Big news at EVO 2015 in Las Vegas, as Capcom announced a brand new fighter that has joined the Street Fighter V roster. Necalli is his name and kicking butt is (hopefully) his game!!
As a lifelong fan of the Eagles and its members’ respective solo ventures, it’s great to know that Don Henley’s fifth studio album Cass County is set for a September 25 release via Capitol Records. The album, named for the Texas county where Henley grew up, will be available as a 12-song CD and digital album, a 16-track deluxe version, and a double disc, 180 gram Vinyl LP.
Grammy winning band Arcade Fire will release their movie The Reflektor Tapes around the world starting September 24. The picture, directed Kahlil Joseph, hits screens for a limited time thanks to Event Cinema distributor Arts Alliance.
