The new E! series WAGS (short for Wives and Girlfriends of Sports Stars) gives viewers an inside look at this exclusive group of close friends and possible rivals. Although the show will have its share of outrageous moments and humor, WAGS member Natalie Halcro candidly elaborated on the hierarchal environment which surrounds this environment.
ActorChiwetel Ejifor (12 Years a Slave, Redbelt) was in Los Angeles to promote his upcoming drama Z for Zachariah, a post apocalyptic drama based on the novel by late writer Robert C. O’Brien. During the interview I asked several questions about the first rate feature, which co-stars Margot Robbie and Chris Pine, and I’ll share these audio clips in the coming days (the movie comes out August 28).
But let’s start off with Ejiofor’s foray into another drama – Secret In Their Eyes.
Forget the lack of A-list stars or filmmakers above the title, as Riffraff is a film noir jewel that’s worth a look. Director Ted Tatzlaff, best known for The Window and his cinematography work on Alfred Hitchcock’sNotorious, is in full element with this Panama set story about a white suit wearing private dick named Dan Hammer (Some Like It Hot’s Pat O’Brien).
Sophia Bush plays a detective on Chicago P.D., and during her run on the successful NBC show she has met her share of police officers. During last season’s finale, Erin Lindsay (Bush) was not in a very good place, as she handed over her badge to Voight (Jason Beghe) after harboring guilt over a recent tragedy (this is a spoiler free post!).
Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. will release Sword Art Online: Lost Songin North and Latin America on November 17 for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. Fans who pre-purchase the game on the PS4 via the PlayStation Network will also receive a free digital copy of Sword Art Online: Re: Hollow Fragment for the PS4.
Premiering December 14 on SyFy, Childhood’s End centers on a supposedly peaceful invasion of Earth by the Overlords, an alien race led by a mysterious ambassador named Karellen (Charles Dance). The six-hour miniseries, based on Arthur C. Clarke’s novel, also stars Mike Vogel and Daisy Betts.

It’s been a big year for actress Paige Spara, as the actress has landed her biggest role to date in the new workplace comedy Kevin From Work. The story centers on Kevin (Noah Reid), an average dude who’s had a three year crush on his office mate Audrey (Spara) Kevin absolutely places Audrey on a pedestal, and even though she has a boyfriend, Audrey is still the apple of Kevin’s eye.
Mistress America, another inspired collaboration between director Noah Baumbach and actress Greta Gerwig, centers on a college freshman (Lola Kirke) who bonds with her soon to be stepsister (Gerwig) in New York City.
Glen Campbell…I’ll Be Me, directed by James Keach (director of the underrated romantic comedy Waiting for Forever), hits VOD and DVD September 1st via Virgil Films.
We already knew that Vin Diesel was “fast and furious,” but can he stand his ground amidst a coven of witches? In The Last Witch Hunter, Vin Diesel is Kaulder, a warrior who seeks revenge against the Queen Witch, an evil force who has returned to wreak havoc on Earth. Co-starring Elijah Wood, Michael Caine and Rose Leslie, the film’s latest trailer, titled “Live Forever,” was recently released.
