A Cold War Kids concert special airs Friday, August 25 on AT&T Audience Network (9 pm et/pt) as the band will perform fan favorites and sit down with series host Ted Stryker for an up close and personal interview.
No, that scary looking, demon like kid isn’t me heading to Cold Cockle Productions to scare Anderson, it’s an image from this upcoming horror/thriller Don’t Sleep. Before you turn your head away from this seemingly low budget flick, it features a solid cast (The Princess Bride’s Cary Elwes, The Sopranos vet Drea de Matteo, and Crossing Jordan’sJill Hennessy). As a Brian De Palma (Passion) and Ridley Scott (Prometheus) enthusiast, Noomi Rapace has been a personal favorite. With What Happened To Monday, she delivers a tour de force performance that, despite its gimmicky plotline, is grounded in humanity. It’s premieres on Netflix today, and if you’re a sci-fi/thriller fan, it’s a must watch.

Family sitcoms are a television fixture, but one of the elements that could put Marlon over the top is the friendship and working relationship between Marlon Wayans and Essence Atkins. Check out the video below as the actors break down the bond that serves as Marlon’s foundation.
It’s natural to look at tragedies from a hardened, statistical point of view, and thankfully the animated feature In This Corner of the Worldgives us a personal look at the bombing of Hiroshima. Seen through the eyes of a young woman named Suzu Urano, In This Corner of the World is both heartbreaking and inspiriting, evoking the storytelling spirit of Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away) and Yasujiro Ozu (Tokyo Story).
Released earlier this month via Shout! Factory, Wakefield features a stunning performance from Bryan Cranston. I didn’t get a chance to talk about the film on the August episode of CinemAddicts. Whether it’s his “UnREAL”  70 pound weight loss or taking part in the military themed episode (“Keep The Faith”) on The Night Shift,  Josh Kelly has a ton of stories to share. During The Night Shift interviews, I asked Kelly if there was any translatable skill he learned as an Army Ranger that he applied to his own acting journey. Two episodes in and I’m already hooked on Midnight, Texasthanks to its talented ensemble and the writers’ ability to juggle several narratives within an episode.
