The November episode of CinemAddicts is up, and I believe it’s our longest show ever. I can’t believe the year’s almost over and though this episode is definitely not short and sweet, there’s a ton of stuff to cover!

DVD Review: “Where’s The Money” (Andrew Bachelor)

0
Having snap judgments about a movie before actually watching can, at times, restrict you from having a good time, and thankfully my preconceived notions of Where’s The Money were misguided. A mixture of internet content creators/stars (Andrew “King Bach” Bachelor, Logan Paul) and acting vets (Kat Graham, Terry Crews), Where’s The Money has its share of comedic surprises up its sleeve.

Joe Cole Fights Through Thai Prison In ‘A Prayer Before Dawn’ Trailer

0
Secret In Their Eyes and Green Room are just two examples of how Joe Cole’s presence can absolutely command a scene (I still haven’t checked out his work in Peaky Blinders). The fact based feature A Prayer Before Dawn features Cole front and center, and the trailer was just released today. Check it out below!!

Review: 5 Reasons To Love ‘Tragedy Girls’

0
Tragedy Girls opens in New York and Los Angeles October 20, but thankfully it’s not a flick that comes out and is gone before the blink of an eye (leading to an immediate run on Blu-ray and streaming). If you’re a horror/comedy genre fan (Scream franchise comes to mind), Tragedy Girls should be your cup of tea (actually it’s more like a double espresso shot to the soul). Below are five reasons why I absolutely love (and highly recommend) Tragedy Girls.

John Cusack Action Thriller ‘Blood Money’ Hits Blu-Ray In December

0
Growing up a Gen X baby, my indelible memory of John Cusack is his ghetto blaster, serenading Ione Skye with “In Your Eyes” moment in Say Anything. But sometimes the hero becomes the villain, and I’m pumped to see Lloyd Dobler turn evil with Blood Money. The film, starring Boyhood’s Ellar Coltrane, Willa Fitzgerald, and Jacob Artist, hits Blu-ray and DVD December 19. Details below!

Miles Teller Aims To Get It Right With ‘Thank You For Your Service’

0
Miles Teller (Bleed for This, upcoming Only The Brave) stars in Thank You For Your Service as Adam Schumann, a returning soldier from Iraq who, along with his fellow colleagues, finds it difficult readjusting to civilian life. The piece is adapted from Pulitzer Prize winning author David Finkel’s book of the same name, and in the audio below Teller explains why “accuracy” and “authenticity” were integral to Thank You For Your Service.

‘The Snowman’ Prize Pack Giveaway From CinemAddicts

The Snowman
MICHAEL FASSBENDER stars in the terrifying thriller "The Snowman." When an elite crime squad’s lead detective (Fassbender) investigates the disappearance of a victim on the first snow of winter, he fears an elusive serial killer may be active again. With the help of a brilliant recruit (Rebecca Ferguson), the cop must connect decades-old cold cases to the brutal new one if he hopes to outwit this unthinkable evil before the next snowfall.
It’s a different type of giveaway this week, as I’m offering up a Prize Package from The Snowman. Winner gets the movie’s official promo shirt, The Snowman plush doll, and The Snowman murder note. Giveaway entry details (and a better picture of the items) re below:

Jon Bernthal & Christopher Abbott Face Off In ‘Sweet Virginia’ Trailer

Sweet Virginia
Christopher Abbott and Jon Bernthal in “Sweet Virginia.”
My most anticipated film this year isn’t a comic book flick or animated feature bankrolled by some big studio. Rather, I’m all about Sweet Virginia, and if you love thrillers that leaves a bigger jolt than your morning cup of Joe, this might do the trick.
