Last year it was had the highest screen per average of any movies that it was up against, which says to me (that) it’s not really a cult movie if it’s number one at the box office 40 years later. If you’ve seen it, (then) your kids have seen it now, (and) your grandkids have seen it.
Rad was directed by director Hal Needham, who was also a famous stuntman. Eddie Fiola’s career started as a professional BMX rider and Rad stunt work also led to a successful stunt career. “I did my thing,” said Eddie Fiola, who was Allen’s stunt double in Rad. “Bill did his thing and we’re still doing it. Now we’re on our 40th anniversary and I can’t wait to the 50th. The parents of kids today, they’re bringing back their youth of riding a bike – (that) was their freedom.”
The event features a remastered in 4K version of Rad and a sneak peek of Effortless: The Eddie Fiola Story. For Rad tickets, go here.
