Written and directed by Nacho Vigalondo (“Colossal,” “Timecrimes”), “Daniela Forever” is a Madrid set love story with a sci-fi twist. Henry Golding (“The Old Guard 2”) is Nicolás, a DJ who falls in love with Daniela (Beatrice Grannò from “The White Lotus”), a digital artist from Italy. Daniela dies in a car accident, but thanks to a revolutionary sleep trial Nicolás reunites with his lover.

Writer/director Nacho Vigalondo’s previous directing efforts “Timecrimes” and “Colossal” are roundly praised, and currently “Daniela Forever” is at 84% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Nicolás enters a sleep study that helps him see Daniela during his nightly, lucid dream states. His reunion with his Daniela will probably come at a cost, as he is actually breaking the rules of the sleep trial. Though he was supposed to follow certain prompts while dreaming, he focuses all his attention on recreating Daniela.

Rounding out the ensemble are Aura Garrido as Daniela’s close friend Teresa and Nathalie Poza as Victoria, a friend who introduces Nicolás to the sleep trial.
