Filmmaker Alex Garland is following up “Civil War” with “Warfare,” a feature that he co-directs with Iraq War veteran Ray Mendoza. Feature hits theaters in 2005. Check out the trailer and share your thoughts in the comments!
Ray Mendoza, who was a Navy SEAL for sixteen years, served as a military advisor on “Civil War.” “Warfare” centers on a platoon of American Navy SEALs who are situated in the home of an Iraqi family. The trailer shows that their mission leads to a bloody conflict, and the troops are focused on making it out alive.
The ensemble includes D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai (“Reservation Dogs”), Wil Poulter (“Detroit”), Cosmo Jarvis (“Shogun”), Kit Connor (“Heartstopper), Joseph Quinn (“Gladiator 2”) and Charles Melton (“May December”).
Written and directed by Mendoza and Alex Garland, “Warfare” hits theaters next year.
