Undateable returns tonight for its second season (NBC, 9 pm et/pt), and the story of two mismatched roommates Danny and Justin (Chris D’Elia, Brent Morin) and their wise-cracking bar buddies (Rick Glassman, Ron Funches, David Fynn). Bianca Kajlich also stars as Danny’s sister, with newbie Bridgit Mendler joining the cast as the bar’s wet behind the ears waitress.
The cast members’ chemistry, coupled with the first rate writing, are two major components to Undateable’s success. During a press day in support of Undateable, Glassman talked about the close knit collaboration between the actors and the writers of the show. I also asked Glassman and Funches if their work in Undateable has given them confidence in their respect stand-up careers.
