Trailer: Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal Go Dark With ‘Nocturnal Animals’

 

Considering it won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2016 Venice International Film Festival, Nocturnal Animals should probably on your Oscar watch radar. Headlined by Jake Gyllenhaal and Amy Adams as a divorced couple who gradually uncover dark truths about one another, the film hits select theaters November 18th and goes nationwide December 9th.

Directed by Tom Ford (A Single Man) and based on Austin Wright’s novel Tony and Susan, the project’s all-star cast includes Michael Shannon, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Isla Fisher, Armie Hammer, Laura Linney, Michael Sheen, and Andrea Riseborough.

Along with her work in the upcoming sci-fi flick Arrival, Amy Adams is primed to have a busy awards season. Gyllenhaal was seen earlier this year in the overlooked drama Demolition which I reviewed on CinemAddicts. Click on the media below to hear the podcast:
