Trailer: Al Pacino and Dan Stevens Ready To “Hold Back The Darkness” With ‘The Ritual’

“The Ritual,” simply put, is an exorcism movie headlined by Al Pacino and Dan Stevens. That is enough for me to watch this movie, which is directed and co-written by Dan Midell (“The Killing of Kenneth Chamberlain”). Movie hits theaters nationwide on June 6 and, most importantly, is the pairing of Pacino/Stevens enough for you to watch?

“The Ritual” centers on two priests (Al Pacino, Dan Stevens) who must put aside their differences and perform an exorcism on Emma Schmidt (Abigail Cowen). The feature is based on a true story of the 1928 exorcism of Emma Schmidt.

Rounding out the ensemble are Ashley Greene (“One Shot,” “The Twilight Saga”) and Patricia Heaton (“Everybody Loves Raymond,” “The Unbreakable Boy”).
