Shout Select will release The Deer Hunter (Collector’s Edition) on 4K UHD for the first time, and the 2-disc UHD + Blu-ray combo pack comes out May 26. Fans who preorder the Collector’s Edition will also receive an exclusive 18″x24″ poster (while supplies last!)

Directed by Michael Cimino, The Deer Hunter won five Oscars including Best Picture and Best Director. Starring Robert De Niro, Christopher Walken, Meryl Streep and John Savage, the narrative centers on the lives of Pennsylvania steelworkers and their respective experiences in the Vietnam War. I still haven’t seen this film so I’m definitely looking forward to checking this movie out (hopefully I’ll get to review this title on this site and on the CinemAddicts podcast)!
