In “Sleeping Dogs,” Russell Crowe plays Roy Freeman, an ex-homicide detective who is attempting to solve a murder from his past. The catch is he is suffering from dementia and he also questions if he investigated the murder case without any compromise. The ensemble co-stars Tommy Flanagan as his ex-partner and Karen Gillan as a mysterious woman who might play an important role in Roy’s ultimate fate.
