Kristen Stewart and Alia Shawkat delivered engaging performances in filmmaker Dylan Meyer’s refreshingly slapdash NEON comedy The Wrong Girls. The feature, which co-stars LaKeith Stanfield, Kate McKinnon, Kumail Nanjiani and Seth Rogen, is now out on Digital. Physical media fans can purchase the Blu-ray version when it streets December 8. Although CinemAddicts co-host Bruce Purkey wasn’t a fan, I really dug the film. Check out my review below!

The Wrong Girls Is A Worthy Stoner Comedy
Frankie (Kristen Stewart) and Molly (Alia Shawkat) are best friends and roommates. Molly works remotes and is supposedly working on spreadsheets. Frankie, a Stanford dropout, earns her money as a delivery driver and unfortunately her combined income with Molly puts them in debt. Late on their rent, the pair may be kicked out sooner than later and Molly’s boyfriend Josh (Zack Fox) is their only housing option.
Their fortunes turn when Frankie meets a mysterious stranger (LaKeith Stanfield) who gives her a briefcase which has vials filled with life altering power. With this priceless briefcase in their possession, the girls are now the target of henchmen and federal agents. Even amidst all that danger, Frankie and Molly retain a relatively chilled out vibe and after taste tasting one of the vials, they gain the power of telepathy. Under this new state of consciousness, they can even hear their cats (Kumail Nanjiani and Seth Rogen) speaking!
The Wrong Girls kept me entertained for 99 minutes, and its random narrative hit me in all the right ways. Although there is a scientist (Kate McKinnon) featured in the tale, The Wrong Girls is not rocket science. If you want to turn your brain off and see Kristen Stewart and Alia Shawkat play stoners for 99 minutes, then you’ve got your movie. This flick, which co-stars Geena Davis and Tony Hale, is worth checking out and I’m giving it ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 (out of five stars).
