Jordan Gertner makes his feature directing debut with Sheroes. That said, he is an experienced producer (The Killer Inside Me, Buffalo 66, Spring Breakers) so going behind the camera must have been second nature to him.

Sheroes centers on four thieves who head to Thailand for a bit of fun, but find themselves in a predicament after one of them is kidnapped by a drug lord. The ensemble includes Isabelle Fuhrman (Orphan: First Kill), Sasha Luss (Anna), Wallis Day (Batwoman), and Skai Jackson (Bunk’d).

Director/writer Jordan Gertner talks about the escapism behind Sheroes. “You just jump on this magical ride that takes you away from everything going on in the world around you,” said Gertner. “You go on this journey with these incredibly talented women and get lost with everything that you may have focused on when you walked into that theatre.”

On our latest Find Your Film podcast, we interview Surrounded filmmaker Anthony Mandler and Elemental: Reimagine Wildfire director Trip Jennings:

Will you be watching Sheroes? Let us know your thoughts once you see it! Sheroes hits theaters and digital June 23.
