On this week’s CinemAddicts podcast, co-host Bruce Purkey recommends Harvest, a folk horror infused piece that stars Caleb Landry Jones (Nitram) and Harry Melling (The Pale Blue Eye). For more info on Harvest, check out Bruce’s review!

Set over seven days in a rural Scottish village, the existence of an agrarian community is altered when unexpected invaders spread their damaging influence over the area.

Caleb Landry Jones is Walter Thirsk, a farmer, and Harry Melling plays a local landowner named Master Kent. The individuals, who are childhood friends, witness these invaders and ultimately their lives change in the process.
Harvest, adapted from Jim Crace’s novel, co-stars Rosy McEwen, Arinzé Kene, Thalissa Teixeira and Frank Dillane. Check out Bruce Purkey’s review on YouTube and/or CinemAddicts:
Harvest is now playing in theaters and will be streaming August 8 on MUBI.
