Flick City: Milo Ventimiglia Loves Humankind Approach Of ‘Interstellar’ And ‘Armageddon’

This Is Us actor Milo Ventimiglia has also carved out a career in cinema (he was most recently seen opposite Jennifer Lopez in Second Act). In the video below, he talks about three of his favorite films (Interstellar, Goodfellas, Armageddon).

Milo Ventimiglia talks about Interstellar, Goodfellas (and by default The Godfather), and Armageddon (video is below the transcript):

“I’ll give you three. Interstellar which is (directed by) Christopher Nolan. I think it’s humankind’s discovery of the world outside ourselves. I love that. I think it’s inspiring and I also think it gives us pause on how we live our lives down here.

Goodfellas. I was kind of raised on that. It’s just one of those great films. Oh man, do I throw The Godfather in there, too? Because you can’t say Goodfellas without The Godfather.

And to go back in space – Armageddon. It’s a popcorn movie. You’re excited and stoked with everything that’s going on and again it’s all about humankind. I love that idea of coming together as a community of the world and understanding that we’re all here on this rock just trying to live a good life.”

Milo Ventimiglia co-starred with Goodfellas and The Godfather actor Robert De Niro in Killing Season. Are any of these films on your own top 10 list? Feel free to comment below!

This Is Us airs Tuesday evenings on NBC (9 pm et/pt).
