Late Night With The Devil clocks in this week with huge momentum thanks to a high Rotten Tomatoes score (currently 100%) and great word of mouth. Scene stealing actor David Dastmalchian stars as Jack Delroy, a 1970s late night talk show host who will do anything to garner huge ratings during sweeps week. Jack Delroy (David Dastmalchian) is determined to beat his rival Johnny Carson during sweeps weep. Ratings for Delroy’s late night talk show Night Owls have plummeted since his wife’s passing. For the Night Owls Halloween special, Delroy plans a scary treat for the audience for the audience and the viewers back home. Rhys Auteri co-stars as Delroy’s sidekick Gus, Ian Bliss is a paranormal skeptic named Carmichael the Conqueror, and Laura Gordon plays June, a serious minded parapsychologist.
Although we all recommend Late Night With The Devil, it is on varying degrees. Bruce Purkey described the first hour as “dull” and overall he was slightly disappointed with the picture. He did compliment the performance of Auteri. Eric Holmes said the movie was “entertaining” but felt lthe role of the skeptic (Bliss) was poorly written. I absolutely love Late Night With The Devil, so no complaints on my end.

This review was done before our knowledge that Late Night With The Devil used AI art for three still images in the movie. The directors released a statement about the AI use, and this does not affect my love for the film. Just my opinion, and I have not asked Bruce and Eric about this matter as of writing this post.
