Taking on that song during the Blinds was a formidable challenge, especially with artists she admired listening just a few feet away. Coaches Kelly Clarkson and Riley Green turned their chairs for Cameron, with Cameron ultimately choosing Clarkson.

“I was definitely super nervous as the youngest in the competition, and I had all these big idols that I looked up to,” said Cameron, who coincidentally toured the country playing young Tina in Tina: The Tina Turner Musical. “I didn’t know if they were gonna turn.”
That nervousness came with excitement. Cameron understood that the performance could introduce her talent to an audience far beyond the people who already knew her music.
Now on Team Kelly, she has found a coach whose enthusiasm extends beyond the work of preparing a performance.
“Well, she was so excited, and she really wanted me on her team,” said Cameron. “She’s such a down-to-earth person. And being on her team, I’ve learned to be humble. And also pick the right moments and what song to pick.”
