The oft-used phrase “you either have it or you don’t” can be applied to that elusive word called “chemistry,” and “The Night Shift” stars have been lucky enough to land on the right side of that equation. While promoting the show during the NBC/Universal Summer Press Tour, Scott Wolf, who was part of a talented ensemble early in his career with “Party of Five,” succinctly (and humorously) explained why “The Night Shift” is clicking on all cylinders.

Set in the 1970s sunshine haze of Los Angeles, “The Nice Guys” centers on Holland March (Ryan Gosling), a hapless private eye who teams up with professional badass Jackson Healy (Russell Crowe) to find a missing girl. Upon their journey, the pair uncover a conspiracy that is way above their pay grade.
Now playing nationwide, “The Darkness” centers on a family (Kevin Bacon, Radha Mitchell, Lucy Fry, David Mazouz) who unwittingly bring supernatural forces back to their suburban neighborhood after a Grand Canyon trip.
For those few not in the know, The Decline of Western Civilization is a seminal documentary directed by Penelope Spheeris. The project takes an in-depth look at the 1980 Los Angeles punk scene as seen through the eyes of such bands as Black Flag, X, The Germs, Catholic Discipline, and Circle Jerks.

Southern Charm, now in its third season, airs Monday evenings on Bravo (9/8c). To be honest, I’ve yet to check out the show as I’m way too busy attempting to watch 1,000 movies by the end of 2016. That being said, interviewing Cameran Eubanks and Shep Rose was a delight, as the close friends came off as likable and forthright while promoting Southern Charm last month at the Four Seasons Hotel (Westlake Village, Ca.).
Along with serving as the host of NBC’s America’s Got Talent, Nick Cannon has carved out a successful acting, directing, producing and music career to boot. Since we’ve come to expect the unexpected with Cannon, the announcement that he was named Chief Creative Officer of Radio Shack was more of a pleasant surprise than a total shocker.
