Grammy winning band Arcade Fire will release their movie The Reflektor Tapes around the world starting September 24. The picture, directed Kahlil Joseph, hits screens for a limited time thanks to Event Cinema distributor Arts Alliance.
The feature takes an in-depth look at the making of Arcade Fire’s acclaimed hit album Reflektor. Fans will witness the project’s creative gestation in Jamaica, its recording sessions in Montreal, and the group’s live shows in such cities as Los Angeles and London.
“There were parts of the Reflektor tour where I think we, Arcade Fire, came the closest in our careers to putting on stage what we imagined in our heads,” said the band in a statement. “We were insanely lucky to have Kahlil Joseph documenting from the very beginning.”
The Reflektor Tapes will also include a new unreleased track and 20 minutes of never before seen footage.
In anticipation of the film, Arcade Fire have released the new music video for the song “Porno.” The video also features footage from The Reflektor Tapes.
