Josh Hutcherson (Tragedy Girls, The Hunger Games) stars in the time travel action thriller 57 Seconds. The picture, which hits theaters and Digital on September 29, co-stars Morgan Freeman, Greg Germann and Lovie Simone. There are two big reasons I’m checking this movie out!
Rusty Cundieff is a fillmmaker I am pulling for thanks to his early works Tales from the Hood and Fear of a Black Hat. That was some 30 years ago, and way back when Cundieff was an fledgling indie filmmaker. Cundieff co-wrote 57 Seconds with Macon Blair, the filmmaker behind 2017’s highly underrated I Don’t Feel At Home in This World Anymore.
Running at 99 minutes, 57 Seconds is based on E.C. Tubb’s short story Lucifer.
Thirdly, it will be interesting to see if Josh Hutcherson pulls off this lead role as a tech blogger who discovers a ring that places the owner back in time. Even though it transports the person 57 seconds in the past, things can definitely change within the blink of an eye!
