Does anyone have a more night and day career than Adam Sandler? This year he came out with Murder Mystery, a Netflix comedy that I’m assuming is in line with most of other Sandler’s features (btw I’m a Sandler fan). Today we see the trailer debut of Uncut Gems, the latest film that delivers the critically acclaimed version of “The Waterboy.” Check it out below!

Directed by Josh and Benny Safdie, the filmmakers behind Good Time and Heaven Knows What, Uncut Gems is a crime thriller that centers on a New York City jeweler named Howard Ratner (Adam Sandler).
Affectionately described in the trailer by Lakeith Stanfield’s character as a “f**king crazy ass Jew,” Ratner is looking for the next big score, but his high risk actions places his family (and himself) in danger. Idina Menzel (Ratner’s wife Dinah) and Julia Fox (Ratner’s jewelry store employee and mistress) co-star in the flick. NBA legend Kevin Garnett and radio talk show host Mike Francesa are also in the tension filled trailer.
Sandler’s acclaimed dramatic work include Punch Drunk Love, The Meyerowitz Stories, The Cobbler, Reign Over Me, and Spanglish. A Hollywood Reporter review cites it as Sandler’s best performance to date! I haven’t seen any of the Safdie Brothers’ films but hopefully I’ll have seen Good Time before Uncut Gems comes out.
Uncut Gems hits theaters in December. Check out the the trailer and tell us what you think!
