Toplined by David Duchovny, the 1967 set cop drama/mystery Aquarius centers on the search for a missing teen, and her disappearance may be linked to a charismatic drifter named Charles Manson (Gethin Anthony). Grey Damon and Claire Holt play cops Brian Shafe and Chairman Tully, and during a recent interview I asked them about the series’ visually compelling production design.
“It’s beautiful,” says Holt, whose previous credits include series work on The Originals and The Vampire Diaries. “We have the most talented crew around and they made the transition to 1967 so seamless.”
For Grey Damon, being surrounded in a 1960s designed world helped him slip into the role of undercover officer Brian Shafe. “You feel like you’re there,” added the actor, whose resume includes TV’s Star-Crossed and Twisted.

Aquarius airs Saturday nights on NBC (9 pm et/pt).
