The Oscar nominated HBO Documentary short How Do You Measure A Year? debuts Wednesday, June 14 (9 pm et/pt) on HBO and will be available to stream on MAX. The trailer hit me in the feels, so watch it and get hooked it as well!

Filmmaker Jay Rosenblatt filmed his daughter Ella on her birthday for 17 years. He asked her the same questions and conducted the interview on the same spot. The short is 29 minutes, and covers Ella from her toddler years to the early stages of being a young woman.

I will be reporting on this movie in the next several days. Just wanted to share the trailer and give you the heads up on a short that should be a special one. As a fan of Michael Apted’s Up series, How Do You Measure a Year? should fit right into my viewing wheelhouse.

Let me know if you will be watching How Do You Measure A Year? when it hits HBO on June 14 and streams on Max!
