‘LOUD on Planet X’ Blends Indie Artists & Aliens For $3 Deal

Music and aliens is an interesting mash-up, and the game LOUD on Planet X attempts to merge both worlds, enabling gamers to play as CHVRCHES, Little Dragon, Tegan and Sara, Metric, Shad, Purity Ring and a myriad of other artists. Starting today the game is discounted 50% on PSN, Steam and Humble throughout July. For iOS and Android gamers, the price is discounted at $2.99.

The game, which should probably appeal to Plants Vs. Zombies fans, uses the power of music (speakers, fog machines, strobe lights, amps, special attacks) to fend off an unrelenting onslaught of aliens.

Successfully funded via Kickstarter, the rhythm shooter game features music from the aforementioned artists as well as original scores composed by F*cked Up’s Mike Haliechuk and Jonah Falco, Broken Social Scene memberse Justin Peroff and Brendan Canning, Harrison, and Warsnake.

LOUD on Planet X, via a partnership with Consequence of Sound, will also be spotlighted on this weekend’s WayHome Festival in Ontario.

I’m definitely requesting for a review code and will be posting up thoughts on the game in the coming days!
