It’s a new chapter for Live, as they forge ahead sans Ed Kowalczyk and continue their path with new lead vocalist Chris Shinn. Their new album The Turn is also on the horizon for an October release. Jerry Harrison, who also produced Live’s previous albums Mental Jewelry, Throwing Copper, and The Distance to Here, is also lending his production skills to The Turn.

As for the choice of Shinn, guitarist Chad Taylor sees the choice as a relative no-brainer, as he brings “a new dimension of musical skill and credibility to the table.” “The only name suggested by all three (including bassist Patrick Dahlheimer and drummer Chad Gracey) of us was Chris Shinn,” adds Taylor. “There was no audition process. We simply called our friend and asked if he wanted to make Live music.”
